Plywood is divided into ordinary plywood (plywood suitable for a wide range of uses) and special plywood (plywood that can meet special purposes) according to usage. The quality requirements of plywood include three aspects: appearance grade, size, physical and mechanical properties. The three inspections of appearance grade, size, physical and mechanical properties are qualified to judge the product as a qualified product, otherwise it is judged as unqualified. When the plywood leaves the factory, it shall have the product quality appraisal certificate of the quality inspection department of the manufacturer, indicating the type, specification, grade, glue strength and moisture content of the plywood.
(1) Specifications of ordinary plywood The thickness of plywood is 2.7mm, 3.3mm, 4.5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, etc. From 6mm, increase by lmm. The thickness is less than 4mm for thin plywood. 3mm, 3.5mm and 4mm thick plywood are commonly used specifications. Plywood of other thickness should be produced after agreement between the supplier and the buyer.
(2) Appearance grade The ordinary plywood is divided into four grades according to the material defects and processing defects visible on the plywood after processing: special grade, first grade, second grade and third grade. Among them, one, two, three are the main grades of ordinary plywood. The above four grades of panels should be sanded (scraped), and those with special needs may not be sanded (scraped) or both sides (scraped). Sanding plywood refers to plywood whose surface is sanded (or scraped) with a sander (or scraper). Generally, the grade is determined by visually inspecting the permissible defects on the plywood. The level depends on the allowable material defects, processing defects, and requirements for splicing.
