There are many varieties of paper gypsum board. There are four types of paper gypsum board on the market:
Ordinary paper gypsum board
Ivory white core and gray paper surface are the most economical and common varieties. It is applicable to the use place without special requirements, and the continuous relative humidity of the use place does not exceed 65%. Because of the price, many people like to use 9.5mm thick ordinary paper plasterboard for ceiling or partition, but because 9.5mm ordinary paper plasterboard is relatively thin and not strong, it is easy to deform under wet conditions, It is recommended to use gypsum board above 12mm. At the same time, the use of thicker plates is also an effective means of preventing seam cracking.
Water-resistant paper-faced gypsum board
The core and cover paper have been waterproofed. According to the requirements of the national standard, the paper surface and core of the waterproof gypsum board must meet certain waterproof requirements (the surface water absorption is not more than 160 grams, and the water absorption rate is not more than 10 %). Water-resistant paper-faced gypsum board is suitable for use where continuous relative humidity does not exceed 95%, such as toilets and bathrooms.
Refractory gypsum board
The core of the board is added with refractory materials and a lot of glass fibers. If you cut the gypsum board, you can see a lot of glass fibers from the cross section. Good quality refractory paper-faced gypsum board will use non-alkali glass fiber with good fire resistance, and general products are medium-alkali or high-alkali glass
Moisture-proof gypsum board
With high surface moisture resistance, the surface water absorption rate is less than 160g / ㎡, and the moisture-proof gypsum board is used for ceilings, partition walls and veneer walls in rooms with high environmental humidity.
